Privacy and Confidentiality Statement
Your Information is Private – With Some Important Exceptions
We understand that coming to therapy takes trust. What you and your child share with us is private. We keep your information safe and confidential.
However, there are a few times when we are legally required to share information:
If someone is in serious danger or being hurt (including your child or another person)
If we are required to by law (for example, if a court directs us to provide information)
If we are concerned that a child is being harmed or doesn’t have a safe adult to protect and care for them, we are required by law to report this to child protection services
We may talk to a clinical supervisor to help us do our job well, but we never share your name or any identifying details
Wherever possible, we will talk with you if a situation like this arises, unless doing so would put someone at further risk of serious harm. If you have questions about this, please ask. We’re here to support you and your family safely and respectfully.
Whenever You’re Ready, I’m Here
